Day 27 - 73 miles from Mitchell to Sioux Falls, SD

Michael rode the Cervelo the 73 miles to Sioux Falls. It was overcast but nice with the temperatures in the mid-80's. More of the same from scenery and wind perspectives; however, again today the wind speed dropped a little more. Now, 5 to 10 mph.

Still having hard time not imaging I am on RAGBRAI with so many corn and bean fields. However, those fields do seem to be much larger. Although there were small towns along the way, not near as frequently as in IA but certainly more frequent than in WY. As we move closer the midwest, the frequency of town to stop in has been increasing.

As shown below, things did not change much.

When I reached the motel a Harley rally was underway for the "Cure". There were hundreds of Harley and I did not see one helmet! Apparently, the riders wanted to look cool; however, they are taking big risks to do so.

In case you are wondering how well we eat, then check out these plates at the Mexican Restaurant! Umm good.

Here are riders getting ready for RAP. We have RAP everyday to learn about the next day's ride, that is, turns not to miss, photo ops along the way, road and weather conditions, special stretches or nutrition items that would be good for us, any special experiences during the day, say goodbye to riders leaving and hello to new riders joining us, etc.

Tomorrow is a REST DAY in Sioux Fall, then on to MN!
