Day 34 - 84 miles from Wisconsin Dells to Fond du Lac, WI

Michael rode the Cervelo the 84 miles to Fond du Lac because Anne helped an Israeli rider's friend who drove up from Chicago to ride with him. Anne drove his friend's car from the Dells to Fond du Lac. They were both very grateful to Anne for providing them the opportunity to ride together.

The heat broke today dropping the temperature from the 90's to the 70's. So, it was another tremendous day to ride.

The Dells is a very touristy town with rides and attractions everywhere. This picture is of the downtown as we left town.

WI has lots of lakes too and here is a pretty one.  Ducks Unlimited manages this one.

This picture was taken at the first SAG stop. Looked like a great place to dive in off the granite ledges; however, not permitted.

This picture was typical of how today's ride looked for the most part. WI has lots of trees. Maybe they should give some to SD and WY!

A highlight of the day was a visit from Anne's sister, Mary and husband, Duane, who drove up from Chicago. We also got to see Sandra, Anne's cousin, and husband, Steve, who live in Fond du Lac. They all attended our dinner and RAP session. Then, we all went for ice cream at a place out on a farm where the milk for the ice cream is provided by their own dairy cows. Yummy!

After the dinner, the rider group held a T-shirt swap. I through in a RAGBRAI t-shirt and got this dri fit one from HiSi who brought it from Taiwan. She ended up with the RAGBRAI shirt. I think I got the best of the exchange; however, she was happy so it was a win-win for both of us.

Tomorrow, Anne and I ride the Co-motion 57 miles to Manitowoc, WI.
