Day 35 - 57 miles from Fond du Lac to Manitowoc, WI

Anne and Michael rode the Co-motion the 57 miles to Manitowoc, WI. It was overcast and cool in the upper 60's and low 70's. Definitely has cooled off the last two days.

Here Anne is eating an omelette cooked right in front of her in the hotel. The other one is mine. Yummy!

Here we are loading our bags onto the trailer at the hotel and getting ready to RIDE!

A highlight of the day was seeing the Lighthouse at Fond du Lac on Lake Winnebago. 70 some steps to the top. Much smaller than the lighthouses we saw on the Outer Banks tour that had close to 300 steps.

Here are pictures of the beautiful Lake Winnebago. A BIG lake!

Next, we headed out of town towards Manitowoc. On the way, we went by St Mary's hoping to see Mary, Duane, Steve and Sandra after church. We did not see their vehicle in the parking lot so we continued. A few miles past the church here came all of them driving to other way. Apparently, after church they drove some of the route hoping to see us. It worked as they turned around and drove along side us. So, all worked out as we got to say goodbye from the tandem.

Since the scenery was much the same as we have already shown so we didn't take any pictures along the way.

At the only SAG stop, Anne discovered she left her water bottle in the Ladies Room at a convenience store we had stopped at a couple of miles back from the SAG stop. So, I went back to get it. While there, I noticed a good deal on some donuts; so, I bought and shared them with those at the SAG stop. They were happy Anne forgot her bottle and hopes she does it again!

Here is the inside of our motel in Manitowoc.

Here's Craig at dinner. Who says we can't eat! His brother played a Rabbi on some Seinfeld episodes.

Here I am hugging Anne in my new shirt from Taiwan acquired in the T-shirt swap. Cool!

We have reached a milestone - our ferry trip across Lake Michigan to Ludington, MI that occurs tomorrow. We only have 13 riding days left! Wow! This map shows how far we have come and how little we have to go.
